How much raw food, all, half? What else to eat/drink for health.|||What are the Guidelines of the Raw Food Diet?
1. What can I eat?
Eat unprocessed, preferably organic, whole foods such as:
fresh fruits and vegetables
nuts
seeds
beans
grains
legumes
dried fruit
seaweed
unprocessed organic or natural foods
freshly juiced fruit and vegetables
purified water
young coconut milk
Raw food diets may include raw fruits, raw vegetables, raw nuts, raw seeds, raw unpasteurized dairy products (e.g. milk, cream, butter), raw meat, raw eggs, and raw honey.|||Carrots; They have more carotene than any fruit or vegetable. (Carotene is what the body converts to vitamin A). And carrots are an excellent source of vitamins B, C, D, E and K, as well as calcium pectate. Calcium pectate is an extraordinary pectin fiber that has cholesterol-lowering properties. They are cheap. Make carrot salad ,
4 carrots, shredded
1 apple - peeled, cored and shredded
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup blanched slivered almonds
salt and pepper to taste
Apples are low cost as well. But they are high in natural sugar. They are a high souce of vit A and C.
Celery;Celery is a great guilt-free snack item, especially if you want to lose weight.Celery is a wonderful low-calorie and low-fat vegetable, consisting of about 95% water. When looking at its nutrients, celery contains adequate amounts of potassium, folate and fiber. One cup of diced celery provides 344.4 milligrams of potassium, 34 micrograms of folate, 2 grams of fiber, 19 calories, and less than 0.16 grams of fat!
can't think of anything else sorry.. hope this helped.. fresh food is pricey.|||http://choosediet.blogspot.com/|||vegetable, fruits, nuts, and legumes.
The best is all raw, but very very very hard to do. I have tried a little while, but it is tough - absolutely health, but not very enticing.
I would mix it up a bit - 50/50 raw and cooked.
