Hi, I am a 18 year old female. I'm 5 feet and I weigh 140 pounds. If I follow a raw food only diet for a month with plenty of water, how much weight would I be able to lose in that month?
Thanks,|||Nobody can tell you that. You lose weight by consuming fewer calories than you burn. You can still over eat even with raw foods.
To lose weight the right way you need to eat right and exercise. That means a healthy balance of lean protein, fruits and veggies, whole grain products, healthy fats, and drink lots of water. You can look up the 'food pyramid' for the % of each food type you need for healthy balance.
On top of that, exercise at least 1 hr a day at least 5 days a week. The more calories you burn, the quicker you'll see weight loss and it will help tone your body (esp if you add strength training).
Good luck!|||Hi there,
It's unlikely that anyone will be able to estimate how much weight you will lose; you'll have to eat less than you burn to lose weight.
But, a raw food, vegan diet can get you all of the nutritional support you need while you endeavor your weight loss. Ensure that you maintain a proper balance of sugars, fats, and greens. A good rule of thumb is to eat fruit in the morning, salads and fats in the afternoon and evening.
Also, be sure to exercise each day. Cardio and weight training are essential for a proper balance of exercise.
If you have more questions regarding the raw food diet, why not do some research and connect with other raw foodists who can support you on your journey. A good resource is www.rawpeople.com.
Best of luck|||It would depend on how much you eat just like with ANY diet. If you ate 20 pounds of sashimi everyday you'll end up gaining, maybe. weight doesnt depend on WHAT you eat but mostly on calorie intake vs calories burned.
