If you have a holistic vet in your area, I would also recommend visiting them to talk about raw diets. They generally are well-educated in the area and can be a source of support for you. Traditional vets receive generally one course in nutrition, sponsored by big dog food companies and using texts written by major dog food companies. So, they tend not to be well-educated on or supportive of the idea of raw feeding unless you're very lucky.|||Read up! Lots of research should be done before attempting raw feeding. It's a great thing to do, but you need to know your stuff first:
