I'm starting to eat more raw foods (as in the RAW diet) and am having problems with diarrhea. Why? I'm about 75% raw.|||It is probably just your body adjusting.
When I first introduced more raw fruit & raw vegetables into my diet (75% plus) I always had diarrhea, especially after eating fruit.
It took around three months to settle down.
I can now eat tons of raw fruit & raw vegetables without diarrhea.
Juicing vegetables is really good. All of the vitamins, nutrients, minerals go directly into your bloodstream and get to work straight away. Also because there is no fibre in the juices, this will help to reduce the possibility of diarrhea.
I have got an Oscar 900 VitalMax juicer which does a brilliant juicing job. The better the juicer the more pure juice it will extract and the longer it will keep.
I can only suggest being patient and giving your body time to adjust. Plus add some juicing and maybe some blending (the book “Green for Life” by Victoria Boutenko explains blending greens)
If possible, only eat certified organic produce or natural stuff you have grown yourself.
Despite what some of the other people on this board have said, I know through personal experience that adding more raw fruit and (especially) raw vegetables into my eating lifestyle is one of the very best things I have ever done, in terms of nutrition and my overall health in general.
I have lost masses of weight that previously I could not shift, my hair is healthy, my skin looks clear & glowing, my doctor has said I have completely reversed the threat of diabetics, my psoriasis has healed, my ulcerative colitis is healing and my depression has lifted.

|||wash your veggies....also maybe it is a detox reaction|||that sounds totally normal. it will take a while for your body to adjust to all that fiber.|||It depends on how long you've been eating raw foods. It might be too much of a shock to your system suddenly getting that much fiber.Try eating more weighty foods like nuts and more fatty foods like avocado.|||most fruit is full of natural Fiber and Juice. Not a good combination for the digestive system.
I don't want to sound like a preacher. Just be very very very careful with that diet. The human body of the years of evolution has adapted to have most food cooked. Eating that raw diet there will always have the chance of picking up some sort of viral parasite that cooking food would would normally kill. This includes some vegetables also...
So be careful!|||i dont know|||absolutely they can cause diarrhea.|||sounds like a detex. your body is adjusting and sooner than later you'll be regular again..just wait it out and keep doing what u r doing, your body will get used to it and it will thank you in many ways for keeping/treating it so pure and healthy :) xoxooxx|||Indeed. That is LOTS of fiber. Some foods actually need to be cooked to get maximum nutritional benefits, as well. There are lots of reasons a RAW food diet is not such a great idea.
edit: Fiber makes you go to the bathroom. Too little fiber = constipation. Too much = diarrhea.|||Fruits & veggies are full of fibers so they will naturally clean out your system.|||That sounds appetizing...|||Yes fruit especially|||yes most deffinitly! they are acting as a detoxification. you should deffinitly not use that diet it is not healthy for you at all! for a good diet you need to stick to the food pyramid
