Okay I am 14, I weigh about 165 and I'm 5'9". I'm not like a huge person but I'm definately a bit overweight. I hate wearing bathing suits and I always cover myself up. My goal weight is 130 and on January 1st 2008 I'm going to drop everything I eat and become a raw foods person. I am going to do a raw foods diet so number one I can be healthy and so I can lose all this weight. I want to do it for about 3-5 months. I just want a jump start in losing weight an then sometime in my future I may become a raw foods person for life. But will I lose about 30 pounds in 3 months? I will be going to they gym about three days a week and I'm a very active person but I'll do anything to lose this weight!!!! I know for sure I'm overweight so don't think I am just a regular teenage girl who thinks she fat..I really am fat. Please tell me if I'll lose this weight!!! Is it possible to lose that much in 3 month? Thank you so much!!!!!!!!|||It is possible, but how much weight you lose is somewhat dependent on a number of factors, some you can control and some you can't. You need to know a few things before starting a raw food diet. More or less you are doing a vegetarian diet. There is lots of BS out there about what you need to eat or not eat. I would recommend a book titled, The New Becoming Vegetarian. I can't recall the author but go to half.com and type in that title. You can get it used for about 6 bucks and shipping is 3 or so. You won't be disappointed. It will also make sure you understand what science says about eating that way. Then after you have read it, start your diet.
Lastly, its not all about the weight loss anyway. You need to get comfortable with who you are no matter how you look. Don't get caught up on the image thing. Weight loss will come with a good eating plan, just be patient and give it time.|||youre actually not overweight. your bmi (body mass index) is 24.4, and 25-29.9 is overweight|||I think you'll find it's alot harder than it sounds-
meals have to be planned to make sure you get enough nutrition,
what foods nutritious vales are,
you have alot of reading up to do,
you need to find a variety of raw foods you like, if your diet consists of the same foods you'll soon give up.
I couldn't say that you would defiantly loose weight, I started on mostly raw foods 2 weeks ago after a week reading various books and preparing myself and I've put on weight, however that's not to say everyone does.
You should slowly 'wean' yourself off other foods, I miss warm drinks mostly, hot chocolate and horlicks, YUM! I still have a horlicks most nights, just the horlicks and water, I NEED it to sleep.
