I am transitioning over to the raw foods diet.
Advice from others and from all the books I have read said that to sucessfully become a 100% raw foodist, it helps to have a support group of people who are going through the same thing, especially when your body goes through the "detox" stage.

Does anyone know of an online support group that would be useful?|||PETA has an online forum.|||veggieboards.com has a section for raw foodists.|||sorry, I do not know, but I too wish there was one! - I want to know more about it. - I am scared of the detox.|||Raw forums helped me a lot. Raw Freedom Community is probably the best I found. They're very welcoming and open and genuinely interested in helping raw foodists or aspiring raw foodists. The worst I found was Raw Food Talk (Alissa Cohen's forum) because they don't seem to really care about helping raw foodists, but more pushing the stuff Alissa sells in her online store.

If you google "raw food message board" you'll find all sorts of resources.

Good luck. I feel great when I'm eating raw. :)|||You will certainly get some fantastic tips, hints, support and recipes from some lovely, kind, generous and knowledgeable people on the raw forums..........

BUT.......... you will also come across some absolutely seriously fanatical raw vegans, who can be completely pompously overbearing know-it-all wankers.

Go at your own pace and don鈥檛 get intimidated by the fanatical sector and you will be fine.

Also for extra support, try to find a raw vegan potluck group in your local area.
