I was on a website, rawmazing.com, and she starts off the dehydration at 145 degrees and after 30 minutes drops the temperature to 116 degrees, is this still considered raw food then?|||Yes, it is still raw, but the moisture is removed so it will keep longer.
I am not sure of her temperatures. The recommendations in the book that came with my dehydrator are what I use. And there are no real temperatures listed, so I have no idea what they might be, just numbers from 1 to 10.
I did not change settings once I loaded the box.
But any temperature below 200F would not cook the food in less than 12 hours.
