I just don't want to eat cold food all the time, you know.|||Raw food advocates and experts say 118, so you get to add three degrees. Woo-hoo!|||Yes, in fact most raw foodists that do not own dehydrators will use a mildly heated oven to warm up or dry up their foods. The maximum temperature at which you are allowed to heat up foods according to the raw diet is 118 degrees Fahrenheit, so anything below that temperature is 100% safe.
You should actually use this heating method to tenderize foods, although it will take you considerably more time than traditional high heat processing. Many raw foods (such as legumes and vegetables) contain starches and fibers that cannot be easily digested, hence some degree of processing is advisable, as long as you avoid using flame. Raw foodists will use blenders and food processors to break down cells walls within the fruits and vegetables they consume, and thus aid with the digestion and absorption of such foods.|||It's a free country... Eat raw food, because it tastes better, because it's more nutritious, because it's healthier. Just don't make a religion of it.|||Yes if you can get the oven door open.
