I have been trying it out for the past week, though I have reverted back to cooked foods. What are the overall benefits to rawism?|||Optimum nutrients.
No bloating.
YOur body doesn't have to work very hard to digest food- less liver action and this makes you less sluggish and tired overall.
Skin and eyes are very very clear.
Much more energy from raw vitamins and the maximum amount of vitamin rich water inside the food.
Fibre and enzymes- these help your body with the digestion.
Enzymes are live- these are the best things to provide oxidation and getting cancer fighting elements into your blood and system.
Even small amounts of extra vitamin and nutrient content make the difference to your vitality.
No sagging skin, no tired dull eyes and skin, only shiny hair and optimum energy.
It's a lot easiet to cook and eat too- mush less mess, mush tastier than cooking all the time.|||Here are a couple things to remember about cooked foods.
1. Cooking foods most of the time equal dead food. Not alive.
2. Cooking foods kills the enzymes which are needed for digestion.
3. Cooking foods creates chemicals which you consume and are very bad for you.
4. Raw foods are alive.
5. Raw foods contain enzymes, vitamins and minerals
6. Raw foods provide total nutrition and help people lose unwanted fat in conjunction with an active lifestyle.
You don't have to be 100% raw but you should strive for 70-80% and see if that works for you.|||When you cook food, a lot of its nutrients leech out especially if you are cooking it with water. By eating the food raw, you're able to get all of its original nutrients. However, I suggest that you cook your food from now on because of all the food bacteria and pathogens like E. Coli, salmonella, listeria, etc. Make sure to store your foods properly, too.|||Two things are lacking in the standard American diet which ultimately lead to sickness and disease: enzymes and fiber. Enzymes are necessary for digestion, and they are destroyed in processing and cooking. Without proper digestion, nutrients cannot be assimilated.
Fiber is needed for proper elimination. People constantly talk about the best "colon cleanse" because they do not consume enough insoluble fiber to sweep out the intestines. Thus the waste matter remains, rots, and allows toxins to accumulate which eventually causes illness.
A raw diet leads your digestive system to function more efficiently, which improves circulation, boosts energy levels and ability to focus, and alleviates many chronic conditions.|||A raw food vegan diet is very healthy for the cells in your body it helps re-new them with all the vitamins and minerals. Your skin will be clear and you will have good hair because you aren't putting any junk and processed foods in your body. You will have more energy and a clear mind, (just speaking from experience)|||Every time you process a food you loose some of the goodness.
You boil potatoes, some of the nutrients are lost in the water, in the steam, and the chemical reaction with heat.
What I like to do is, cook my dinner, but also place one or two handfuls of uncooked veg's in the dish.|||Hi
