1).Disenfecting Raw Meat?
2).Disenfecting Raw Foods ?(fruits, veggies,)
I would most graciously appreiciate it. Thanks, God bless.|||If your meat is fresh and has been properly processed, it probably doesn't have many pathogens anyway. If you're really worried about it, buy cuts of meat that have been as little tampered with as possible (ie sirloin steak instead of ground sirloin, whole drawn chicken instead of skinned and boned chicken breasts). The less it's handled, the less chance it has of picking up some sort of contaminant. As long as it's fresh when bought and you cook or freeze it within 48 hours of purchase, it's very unlikely that it will have any chance of making you sick.

If you propose to eat your meat raw (steak tartare, for instance), and you're worried about survival of potential pathogens/parasites, freeze it for two weeks first, then thaw and eat. Two weeks in the freezer should kill just about anything.

As to raw fruits and vegetables, just wash them thoroughly under running water before eating them or chopping them up. That's about all you CAN do to them. If you're really paranoid about pesticide residue, you can soak them first in a weak vinegar-water solution, or spray them with one of the vegetable-cleaning sprays now available.|||Wait a sec?
You don't disinfect raw meats.
The cooking process is the disinfectant.

In the case of a slightly smelly chicken you should just
wash it in a salt bath or with lemon juice.
Beef, pork and lamb disinfect themselves when cooked.

Raw fruits and veggies( if your very strict and water doesn't suit you), they sell special washes for produce in most supermarkets.|||You don't disinfect raw meat. You just keep it nice and cold or frozen (then thaw properly), then cook properly. Any surface you have place you have had them raw should be washed with really hot soapy water then rinsed with a bleach solution of 1 cap full of bleach per gallon of water.

You also don't disinfect raw veggies. You wah them before use and don't peel/chop them where you have had raw meat of any kind.|||if you buy your meat from a reputable source, it won't need to be disinfected.
fruits and vegetable rarely harbor bacteria and so don't need to be disinfected.
if you're scared of food, get over it.
people have been eating since the dawn of time|||Germs and bacteria can collect and breed on the surface of foods so as long as you rinse them well your veggies should be safe but you can always peel or cut away the outer surface to feel better about it. With meats you seer the outside to make it safe if you are wanting a very rare meat to serve. You never serve rare pork or swordfish for any reason and ground meats are all surface area and must be cooked to completion. Feel better?
