Cheap one (economical, affordable) & smaller sized for 1 person only.
Would just a regular blender work? Is the Magic Bullet any good? Is there a cheaper equivalent to the M.B.?
Thanks.|||I have a magic bullet and I really like it. It's perfect for just one person and you don't have to wash out a huge beaker each time you want to make something. And with a big blender (I have one of those too) you have to put at least 8oz of liquid in it to make it work, so keep that in mind.
I don't recommend washing the magic bullet cups in the dishwasher though, even though you can, because I think they last longer if hand-washed. It also comes with lids so you can take your smoothie right of the blender and take it to work, jogging, etc. You can also order more cups from the company if they break or you need more.
Magic bullet also works perfectly for salsa, mixing up tofu scramble, mixing up quesadilla filling, making pesto sauces, chopping nuts and many other things that you can't do in a regular blender.|||They're hard plastic but I can't tell what the number is (not at home right now) but it's same kind they make Pur water pitchers out of.

|||Kitty is right they say you can cook in them, but I have never, and if you chillthem just do not drop them, they crack like thin ice.Report Abuse
|||I am a former chef and have a Magic Bullet and they do a reasonable jobs for a small amount, it is best to cut thing so it blends faster. Just remember with it or any other blender to pulse it to break up the food before blending it smooth, you can get small and inexpensive blenders, I would recommend one with a glass beaker, there strong, but plastic is fine, if you do not want to spend alot, check ut the local garage and yard sales, often people do not use them and I have seen one brand new, and you can pay under $50.
